A wonderful book about the life and accomplishments of Mary Margaret Steele Morgan (1925-2015) is now available at Little Professor bookstore in Athens and on Amazon.com.  It brings together a selection of her writings,memoirs, short stories, poetry, tributes, awards, and letters to the editor.

She lived in Athens County from 1977-2003.

She co-founded the Susan B. Anthony Memorial UnRest Home Womyn’s Land Trust in 1979. In the 1980’s she was the first woman to be a candidate
for the Ohio University Credit Union. She opened the store Antiques, Uniques and Reliques in Amesville which was later destroyed by a flash
flood. She taught at Ohio University and at the former mental health hospital at what is now called “The Ridges.”

She received an award in Athens County in 2003 for 50 years of activism in the American Civil Liberties Union.
